TitleAVN-20230623 TE0950 Decreased Reset Signal Level
SubjectDecreased Reset Signal Level
Issue Date

20230818

Affected Products:

First production batch of TE0950-02-EGBE21A.

Description:

Assembled R131 and R132 on first production batch of TE0950-02 will lead to decreased (~2.6V) reset signal voltage level. This is due to internal pull-up to 1.8V at RESET# input of Flash devices U23 and U24. Removing R131 and R132 cures the problem and has no other negative effect.

Impact:

As long as R131 and R132 are assembled RESET# inputs of FLASH devices are out of manufacturer specification, but function of devices is not affected. Further resetting of VERSAL configuration is observed when programming ARTIX FPGA device. To prevent this it is advised to de-solder R131 and R132.

Method of Identification

Boards shipped before 18. of August 2023 and with serial numbers up to 823260 (6 digit on white QR sticker on the board) are produced and shipped with R131 and R132 assembled.
