If you desire to use a TE USB FX2 module, you need to generate/download:
- the firmware file (.iic) for the USB FX2 microcontroller and EEPROM;
- the bitstream (image) (.bit or .mcs or .bin) file for the FPGA and the SPI Flash memory (TE0300 files, TE0320 files, TE0630 files).

You can genearte two PROM .mcs file formats:
- Xilinx Platform Flash memory .mcs file
- 3rd-party SPI Flash memory .mcs file.
The Flash memory assembled on TE USB FX2 modules are 3rd-party SPI Flash memories, but you can also use Xilinx Platform Flash .mcs files to program 3rd-party SPI Flash memories.
