Update Boot (TE USB FX2 Firmware Update)

An update boot  (aka TE USB FX2 firmware update), for Generation 3 firmware, is a multi-step boot operation:

• follow the same procedure of TE USB FX2 driver installation (Generation 3);

• check that EEPROM connection is enabled (EEPROM switch is set in a way to enable EPPROM connection to USB FX2 microcontroler);

• Cypress firmware update tools and OpenFutNet can read and write the EEPROM using:

  1. 1. CyControl (Cypress USB Control Center) or
        

     2. CyConsole (Cypress USB Console) or
     3. OpenFutNet or
        

     4. Open_FUT (gen 3)
